The 2013 Penn State Security Conference will take place on October 28-29, 2013 at the Nittany Lion Inn on the University Park campus.

DAY ONE (October 28): - Day One will focus on broader, more universal security topics and include topic tracks, tools demos, and networking opportunities.
- Prerequisites: Open to all Penn State staff, faculty, and students.

DAY TWO (October 29): - Day Two presentations will focus on security topics specific to Penn State IT staff.
- Prerequisites: Must be a Penn State IT staff member

The presentation will start with an overview of identity services.  It will provide background on identity and access management and the trust framework that we are building at Penn State, which extends beyond the borders of the university to provide a platform for a standardized, secure and reliable use of authentication and authorization in all types of applications.

Nick Roy

Information Technology Manager, Penn State, Information Technology Services, Identity Services
Nicholas Roy is the technical manager for ITS Identity Services. His background is as a security-conscious programmer in the Directory and Authentication (DNA) group at The University of Iowa. He came to Penn State in the Spring of 2013 as the manager of a team of programmers, systems administrators and DBAs focused on implementing core services for authentication and access management.
