The 2013 Penn State Security Conference will take place on October 28-29, 2013 at the Nittany Lion Inn on the University Park campus.

DAY ONE (October 28): - Day One will focus on broader, more universal security topics and include topic tracks, tools demos, and networking opportunities.
- Prerequisites: Open to all Penn State staff, faculty, and students.

DAY TWO (October 29): - Day Two presentations will focus on security topics specific to Penn State IT staff.
- Prerequisites: Must be a Penn State IT staff member

Four years ago, Penn State Altoona's IT environment, from a security perspective, was "the wild west".  Since joining the campus in 2010 as its first CIO, Joanne Peca has worked to change that.  But she didn't do it alone.  In this presentation and discussion, Joanne will cover the evolution of IT security at Penn State Altoona and the resources – many of which are available across Penn State – and approaches Penn State Altoona used to help make computing at the campus more reliable and secure.
